Golfing in Scotland is a traditional past-time and there are many Highland golf courses to choose from.

Glencruitten Golf Course is just 10 minutes from the hotel. This hidden gem of a course was designed by James Braid and set among the hills of the Glencruitten estate.

We also recommend a trip to our sister establishment, The Ballachulish Hotel where you can play a round or two on the adjacent 9-hole Dragon’s Tooth Golf Course for FREE when staying at one of our hotels and arranged through reception.

About the Dragon's Tooth Golf Course

Situated in the shelter of Glenachulish and only three miles from Glencoe and thirty miles from Oban, Dragon's Tooth is one of the Highlands' newest courses. Designed by respected course architect Robin Hiseman, this nine-hole layout is a wonderful example of a golf course taking advantage of the natural contours of the land.

A number of holes provide an interesting challenge, including the par three second, where your tee shot needs great accuracy to stay on the putting surface. The family-run "Gathering Place" clubhouse is a fitting place for you and your golfing partners to unwind after a rewarding day's golf.
